Our Projects
Our Engaging Programs
Come explore our wonderful environment and learn more about the biodiversity of the Noosa Biosphere and what we can do to protect and restore it. Exploring the outdoors has proven to provide wellbeing benefits to all, now more than ever our youth need to reconnect with nature and reinstate some normality in their lives. Our outdoor learning approach working on meaningful projects that make a difference to our communities ensures a sense of place.
Our programs are designed to deliver the cross curriculum priorities of Sustainability and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Perspectives with a focus on biodiversity teaching. Contact us to see the detailed curriculum mapping for each of the projects below.
Providing Meaning to the Curriculum
Most programs culminate in Citizen Science data collection opportunities. Students can adopt a location or activity to monitor and collect valuable data for real world applications. The data is also used in the classroom and it’s real world application provides meaning to the curriculum.
We are able to tailor and adapt our programs to your school’s location making the learning even more relevant. Contact us today to find out how we can assist your school or learning centre. We offer in school, in field or on location visits at our home, Noosa Parks Associations - Environment House in Wallace Precinct, next door to the Noosaville Library.
School Holiday Activities
We will soon also offer a wide range of exciting school holiday programs, check our events page for updates.
