Explore the Noosa Biosphere with our Free Resource

This comprehensive resource provides schools with an introductory look at our Noosa Biosphere. Developed in collaboration with the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation (NBRF) and Environmental Partners around our community it is jam packed with useful data and information about our Biosphere. Learn about our unique Heathland ecosystems, dive into our marine environments and get to know some of our local flora and fauna. There are research inquiry ideas throughout the resource and links to our environmental partners and their programs. We are thankful to the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation for funding this resource, it is an important part of connecting our local curriculum to real life examples of this learning. The NBRF website is also jammed packed with information about the Noosa Biosphere and ways we can all help to protect and enhance this incredible region.

Excursion / Incursion Opportunities

The Noosa EEHub offers local excursion opportunities within the Noosa Biosphere. we offer a Kabi Kabi Cultural Immersion half day program which details our regions landmarks while exploring the Heathland ecosystems contained in this resource. This is one of many excursion opportunities offered to connect our students with the natural environs that are unique to our region. Explore our project area for more programs we offer.

Custodians of Place - Our Shared Responsibilities

Interested in engaging with the Noosa Biosphere more deeply? Contact us to tailor a program for your school. We have helped schools across the Sunshine Coast to create more meaningful relationships with their natural environs expanding our students scientific literacy and contributing back to the biodiversity of these ecosystems. Participating schools have introduced meaningful Cultural Perspectives and have seen increased interest in subject areas in which we offer these hands on opportunities. We are all Custodians of the Place we live and go to school, its an integral part of your schools Reconciliation in Action Plan and our personal recognition of our role as humans in nature.
