The 2024 Youth Climate Summit is a sustainability and climate change focussed conference for students of all ages. The event, held on Reconiliation Day is delivered by youth for youth and includes a sustainable careers expo, cultural perfomances and workshops and youth led break out sessions on a range of interesting topics. Born from the concern for climate action the day is a chance for schools to come together and share Sustainability and Reconciliation Action. This full day event, hosted at The J will celebrate the grassroots actions students have been taking since our last gathering in 2021. Insiprational youth presenters, hands on workshops led by youth for youth! Learn new ways to make your school more sustainable.
The event is FREE to all participants and aligned to the Australian Curriculum.

2024 Custodians of Place Youth Art Exhibition
The Noosa Youth Advocacy Group has formed a Youth Arts Collective to help support our regions young artists. As part of the conference program we are holding a Youth Art Exhibition for the entire month of May. Held in the foyer of The J and open everyday young people will have the opportunity to present and sell their artworks. The multi media opportunity includes a youth launch event on Friday May 3rd with artist talks and youth performances as well as a community open day on Friday 17 May. We invite artists from across the Sunshine Coast to join the exhibition, contact us to receive the application form. Artworks of all types and mediums are welcomed under the theme of the event which is Sustainability, Reconciliation or Climate Action. Artists will be profiled and will have the opportunity to sell their works. We look forward to seeing your creations! Register for the launch party here!
Student presentations include: Embedding Aboriginal Perspectives, Reducing Waste and Emissions,
Improving campus biodiversity, Starting a Youth Based Business.
Attendees will not only have the opportunity to share ideas with their peers, they will be able to explore sustainable career pathways,
participate in walks on country with Beverly Hand and trial some native cuisine.
