Centenary Heights Excursion

Centenary Heights State High School Senior Geography students on an excursion with Ecologist Peter Hunamm (Noosa EEHub). Students were shown how Noosa Main Beach and Noosa River have been changed by human use and how the ocean and river system is constantly trying to take back its previous coverage. We discussed sand pumping and other mitigation methods and agreed that planing should work with nature not try to dominate it. Centenary Heights State High Geography teacher Adam Marshall, Good Shephard Lutheran College Senior Geography teacher Phil Bradshaw, Peter Hunamm and Dalia Mikhail from Noosa EEHub with Yr 12 Geography students.
